Сучасні напрямки, принципи й парадигми соціальної доктрини Православної Церкви України

Анотація

Висвітлено теоретико-методологічні засади соціальної доктрини Православної Церкви України, питання якої набувають важливого значення у контексті церковно-державного діалогу, інформаційної, просвітницької, комунікативної й соціальної місії українського православ’я. Запропоновано теоретичне окреслення поняття «соціальна доктрина», що дає можливість систематизувати основні концепції та підходи до визначення змісту доктрини, схарактеризувати практично-прикладний характер її реалізації у різних сферах церковного та суспільного життя. Детально розглянуто наукові підходи й парадигми дослідження соціального вчення православ’я. На сучасному етапі розвитку Української держави через політичні й соціальні проблеми глобального світу, культурну напруженість у суспільстві зростає потреба інтегрувати соціальну думку Православної Церкви та наукові пошуки соціології, філософії й політології.

This article covers the theoretical and methodological foundations of the social doctrine of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), as its matters are increasingly gaining importance in the context of the dialogue between the Church and the State, as well as the informational, educational, communicative, and social mission of the Ukrainian Orthodox Christianity. Within it, the notion of social doctrine is theoretically identified to enable the classification of the basic concepts and approaches to defining the doctrine’s substance and characterization of the practical and applied aspects of its implementation in various areas of social and church life. Also, proofs are provided in favor of the fact that the development of the OCU’s social doctrine has substantially transformed the life of the Church’s parishes (studies, mission, social service, education, chaplains). The article aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of as well as to sum up and classify the theoretical study approaches to the OCU’s social doctrine. It provides an insight into the substance and nature of the social doctrine of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine; distinguishes the basic paradigms of theological thinking and concepts of Christian social thinking; defines and describes the key approaches to understanding the social doctrine of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine; and classifies the main features of the Church’s social doctrine as a system of theological knowledge. The article also proves that Orthodox theology is so complex, multifaceted, and ambitious that it can be exposed to scientific scrutiny itself. The Church’s social doctrine is defined as a complex theological system and a multi-level area of the Church’s activity aimed at identifying and implementing Christianity’s mission. Also, Christian theology’s axiological substance, nature, and structure are determined in relation to other secular sciences. Furthermore, the author analyzes theoretical and practical factors and determinants of the spiritual renewal of the OCU’s social thought, paying particular attention to the axiological aspects of humanity’s civilizational development in the context of the Christian belief system. The article includes an in-depth look at the scientific approaches and paradigms within the studies of Christianity’s social doctrine. Finally, it establishes that at the current stage of the Ukrainian stage’s development, political and social problems in the world at large and cultural tensions within the Ukrainian society increasingly call for integrating the OCU’s social thought and scientific research in the fields of sociology, philosophy, and political science.
