THE POLYSEMY OF THE CONJUNCTION ΚΑI IN THE GREEK TEXT OF THE NEW TESTAMENT

Abstract

The article considers the polysemy of the conjunction καί, analyzes the polysemanticity of its lexicalsyntactic connotations in various syntaxes, and uses both paratactic and hypothetical sentences. The establishment of the functional semantics of the conjunction καί in various contexts contributes to the adequacy of the translation of the Greek text of the New Testament into Ukrainian.
