To Authors

The editorial board of the journal Proceedings of the Kyiv Theological Academy hereby invites researchers, faculty members, doctoral students, graduate students, and undergraduates to submit the results of their research for publication.

To submit an article to the editorial board, authors must first complete the author information form (sample). The article must then be prepared in accordance with the journal's editorial requirements. Finally, the materials must be sent to the editorial office's email address: trudy@kpba.edu.ua.

The subject line of the email must include the author's last name (or the first co-author's last name in alphabetical order).

Submission of the manuscript requires the provision of contact information for all authors by the corresponding author and confirmation that each co-author has approved the final version of the manuscript.

Materials submitted to the editorial board must be original, previously unpublished, and not currently under consideration by other scientific publications.

Peer Review and Academic Integrity

Manuscripts submitted to the editorial board are subject to a double-blind peer review process.

The journal's editorial board adheres to the principles of academic integrity and international standards of scientific publication ethics.

The textual borrowings present in the manuscripts are identified through the utilization of specialized software designed for the verification of academic texts. In the event that substantial indications of academic plagiarism are identified, the article will be deemed unworthy of consideration.

Acceptance of an Article for Publication

The decision to publish an article is made by the journal's editorial board based on the results of the peer review process.

Payment for publication and printed copies

The publication of articles in the scientific journal of the Kyiv Orthodox Theological Academy, "Proceedings of the Kyiv Theological Academy," is provided free of charge. Authors are not required to pay any fees for the processing, peer review, or publication of their articles in the electronic or print versions of the journal.

Authors retain the prerogative to request a printed copy of the journal. The financial obligation associated with the acquisition of a printed copy is determined by the founder.

Publications by Graduate Students

The journal's editorial board is committed to fostering the participation of young researchers in academic endeavors.

The journal accepts for consideration articles by students pursuing a third-level higher education degree (i.e., graduate students) on the condition that the submitted materials meet the following criteria:

- The materials must meet the journal's editorial requirements.

- The materials must adhere to the principles of academic integrity.

- The materials must be accompanied by a recommendation from the student's academic advisor.

Students pursuing a higher education degree at the third level (i.e., graduate students) are exempt from any fees for preparing, reviewing, and publishing articles they have written, either individually or in collaboration with their academic advisor.

It is important to note that articles authored by undergraduate students are only considered under the condition that they are co-authored with a research advisor.

Limitations on the number of publications

The following limitations have been established with regard to the number of publications:

In no case may a single issue of the journal contain more than a single article by a single author or co-author.

Electronic Document Format Guidelines

All documents submitted to the editorial office must be in one of the following text formats: 

The files must be in the following formats: *.docx or *.rtf (without style markup), and they must be named according to the following pattern:

The document entitled "LastName_article.docx" and the document entitled "LastName_reference.docx" serve as illustrative examples.

The text of the article must comply with the formatting requirements for scientific articles.
