FROM A LETTER OF THE DEFENDER OF ST. MICHAEL’S MONASTERY (M. MAKARENKO TO M. HRUSHEVSKY)

Abstract

The article discusses the correspondence of the famous scientist, defender of St. Michael’s Monastery Mr Makarenko to Mr Hrushevsky. This is the first attempt to publish their correspondence, which is stored in the Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Kyiv. The letters of Mr Makarenko shed light on the range of his scientific interests as well as some moments of his biography.
