PECULIARITIES OF UKRAINIAN THEOLOGY IN THE TREATISE “TRENOS” BY THE RIGHT REVEREND ARCHBISHOP MELETIUS SMOTRYTSKY

Abstract

This article attempts to analyze and identify the characteristics of theological controversy made by the right reverend archbishop Meletiy Smotrytsky. The article makes note of the novelty of the expressed ideas and track their impact on Ukrainian theology. The analysis is made on the basis of “The Treatise about the ascent of the Holy Spirit”.
