This article is devoted to the need of preservation the environment in which we live. Technological progress which for the last century has developed at a crazy pace in turn leads to the destruction of this world with the same pace. And so it leads to the destruction of the person who lives in this world and is inseparable part of this world. Therefore, society was divided into two camps. Some for providing a comfortable life continue to develop new technologies, despite the catastrophic consequences to which their introduction lead. Others, using the gains of the first, oppose technical progress but do not give an objective answer to the question where is the beginning of this problem, and hence the possibility of its correction. On the basis of the analyzed sources, it is concluded that the problem does not start with the appearance of modern technology but much earlier. Even ancient philosophers in their writings spoke about the necessity of the world harmony. Therefore, they considered similar problems and tried to give answers to their solutions, which were limited to certain religious postulates. However, without proper understanding of the issue of man’s origin and his destiny in this world, we can not give an answer as how to keep that fragile harmony. The problem begins when a person, who being the creation of God, manifests disobedience to God, stands against Him. From now on he in "sweat of his face" gets a daily bread for himself, therefore, struggles with the world, not knowing to what devastating consequences leads this struggle. In this struggle a person creates different technological instruments, the task of which is to conquer the surrounding world, pump from it as many resources as possible, that leads to the destruction of the world and it becomes more hostile to men. Therefore, if the answer to the question "when this problem appeared” we find in the Bible, the answer to the question “ how to preserve the world” we have to find there too.
