PLACE AND ROLE OF A HEGUMEN IN THE LIFE OF MONKS' СOMMUNITY OF A MONASTERY

Abstract

The article is devoted to peculiarities of the structuralhierarchical structure of the Manyava Skete and the role of abbot in inner-monastic relations. The structure of positions isdedicated, the range of functional duties of the position of the abbot as the spiritual head of monks and the chief economic manager is dedicated. His rights and obligations are described in detail as well as his election. It is noted that the basic principle of the monastic community and its life together in the Great Skete was built on the model of the 12 apostles.
