РИТОРИЧНІ ТА БОГОСЛОВСЬКІ АСПЕКТИ МЕТАФОРИЧНОГО МОВЛЕННЯ В ПОСЛАННІ ДО РИМЛЯН 7:1–6

Анотація

Статтю присвячено аналізу риторичних та богословських аспектів метафоричного мовлення в посланні до Римлян 7:1–6. Цей текст — яскравий приклад не лише риторичної майстерності, але й богословського багатства аргументативної стратегії апостола Павла. Рим. 7:1–6 — органічна частина послання до Римлян та значуща ланка розкриття думки Павла щодо новизни життя християн. Аналіз семантичних та синтаксичних компонентів тексту допомагає зрозуміти мету використання Павлом метафоричного мовлення та допоміжних ресурсів як із біблійної традиції Старого Завіту, так і греко-римської культури. Вихідним пунктом метафоричного мовлення є подружня аналогія в Рим. 7:1–3 та її богословська актуалізація в Рим. 7:4 на основі мотиву невіддільності життя християн від Особи Ісуса Христа. Проміжною є метафора принесення плоду, яка є видимою реалізацією життя християнина як нового творіння у Христі (Рим. 7:5). Пункт прибуття — метафора служіння (Рим. 7:6), що акумулює в собі всі інші метафори, аби накреслити програму підпорядкування Ісусові Христові та здобуття автентичної свободи через життя в обновленні Святого Духа.

In the article has been made the analysis of the rhetorical and theological aspects of metaphorical speech in the Epistle to the Romans 7:1–6. The pericore of the Apostle Paul is a vivid example not only of his rhetorical skill in constructing speech and eloquence, but also of the theological richness of his argumentative strategy. The text of Rom. 7:1-6 is an organic part of the broader texture of the Epistle to the Romans and is a strategic link in revealing Paul’s thought on the newness of Christian life through death with Christ in Baptism and the call to life in this newness and the gift of the Holy Spirit. The rhetorical and literary analysis of the text of Rom. 7:1–6 takes into account its literary and situational context and the logic of the development of the text. As a result, the analysis of the semantic and syntactic components of the text helps to understand more effectively Paul’s use of metaphorical speech and auxiliary resources from both the biblical tradition of the Old Testament and the Greco-Roman culture as a rational basis for constructing the discourse. Therefore, the rhetorical value of metaphorical speech in Rom. 7:1–6 regarding the legal aspects of marital dissolution through death, fruit-bearing metaphor and those of service is not self-sufficient, but finds its theological actualization in order to demonstrate the novelty of the Christian’s life. The starting point of metaphorical speech is the marital analogy in Rom. 7:1–3 with its theological actualization in Rom. 7:4 based on the motif of the inseparability of the life of Christians from the Person of Jesus Christ. The intermediate metaphor is the metaphor of bearing fruit as the visible realization of the Christian’s life as a new creation in Christ (Rom. 7:5). The point of arrival of metaphorical speech is the metaphor of service (Rom. 7:6), which accumulates all other metaphors within the theological horizon of submission to Jesus Christ and the acquisition of authentic freedom through life in the renewal of the Holy Spirit.
